In addition to the general qualities of an engineer, a new and renewable energy engineer must be able to:

A) Design and oversee the construction of systems for the generation, transmission, control and use of renewable electrical energy.

B) Design and development of heavy equipment, such as renewable generators, motors, transmission lines, and distribution systems

C) Planning and managing engineering activity during the various stages of renewable electrical energy generation, transmission and control.

D) Preparing and reviewing drawings, specifications, and data sheets for renewable electric power generation, control and distribution systems.

E) Review designs and tests for renewable electric power generation and distribution systems.

F) Review renewable resource documents for compliance with specifications.

G) Development of load lists

H) Development of energy systems with low voltage and renewable energy sources.
